Sakoon is a service that helps members of our community meet prospective spouses at events we host. This page explains what we collect, what we do with it, and — just as importantly — what we will never do with it.
When you sign up and complete your compatibility profile, we collect the answers you provide to our questionnaire and the demographic details you enter on your profile (such as your name, date of birth, occupation, ethnic background, denomination, education, citizenship status, marital status, address, telephone number, and the profile picture you upload).
We use the information you provide for only two purposes:
We will not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party. We will not use your answers to profile you, target you with marketing unrelated to Sakoon events, or train machine-learning models. Your data is used for the two purposes above and nothing else.
Questions marked with a lock icon are confidential — only you can see your answers to those. The remaining answers, along with the non-private parts of your profile, may be shown to other Sakoon members you are matched with at an event so that the two of you can assess compatibility before deciding whether to move forward.
Your account is protected by a password and access to your profile requires you to sign in. We retain your data for as long as you choose to remain a Sakoon member. If you would like to delete your account and the data associated with it, please contact us.
If we ever change how we use your data, we will update this page and let you know before the change takes effect.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to hello@sakoon.me.
